Kings Of Leon

I'm sure the majority of you reading this will have heard of this band taking over the, erm, the world right now. Well, that is unless you have been hiding under a rather substantial rock for around 18 months or longer. Caleb Followill and co have their sixth studio album entitled Mechanical Bull due for release at the end of September - a few spell bounding tracks that are worth your ears are; Beautiful War - reminiscent of Cold Desert on Only By The Night, raspy and eerie vocals take hold of the track with thumping drums and reverberating guitar parts adding to the emotion - Wait For Me and current single Super Soaker echo the Kings Of Leon of old, think California Waiting and Back Down South.

However, if you can't wait for a whole month until the pay check arrives, here my friends, is a live preview from Radio One's Maida Vale studio's.

EE - Kevin Bacon not included

Yes, 4GEE (how many E's?) is new, exciting, phresh, and all the other ridiculous adjectives you care to think of. Everyone is talking about it, or maybe that's just Kevin Bacon, is it? All this aside, new, shiny, and pristinely packaged products allure people, a bit like Everything Everything then. Now on their 'difficult second album' the boys seem to be right on the breadline - featuring on indie stations such as err, Radio 1 and BBC's Later With Jools Holland. No such worries of a difficult second album, then. Ever since debut single Kemosabe said a demanding hello in the office one morning, I have grown rather fond of them. For those of you who have heard the single - put simply - you were thinking, "WHERE IS THE F***ING DANCEFLOOR". Weren't you? Typically, high velocity indie with a Gordie twang. But this is only the very beginning my friends, songs such as, Cough Cough, Don't Try, and Torso Of The Week only add to the overwhelming urge to dance your indie socks off.

When the pay cheque arrives at the end of the month, forget about the mundane things for once. Indulge yourself with something you REALLY NEED.

Enough said.
